CMT test's scripted TV waters with ‘Working Class’

CMT Network will dunk it’s toe into uncharted water on Jan. 28 when it debuts it’s first scripted sitcom, ‘Working Class.’

The series star’s comedy vets Melissa Peterman(Reba)a single mom from a rough and tumble background, trying to give her kids a better life by moving them to an upscale suburban neighborhood and stalwart Ed Asner as her curmudgeonly neighbor.

The show airs at 8 p.m., ET/PT, also features Rob(Patrick Fabian), the man she falls for who not only already has a girlfriend – but he’s also her boss, and Nick(Steve Kazee), her immature and somewhat of a ladies-man brother, who moves in to help her out.

'Working Class' has been picked up for 12 episodes and will feature multiple guest stars through out the season, including: Reba McEntyre, David Faustino, Kathy Kinney, Martin Mull, John Schneider and Leslie Ann Warren.

Premiere Episode: “The Buddy System”
Carli’s old flame from high school shows up hoping to re-ignite his “spark” with Carli — even if it means humiliating her in front of her new boss.
